EDAG Engineering Group AG is an international engineering services group and the world’s largest independent development partner to the automotive and aerospace industries. Sustainable mobility concepts are being designed for the cities of tomorrow, with innovative means of transportation and smart technologies that are intelligently and digitally linked to the new living and working environments.

BRIEF AND CONCEPT

The merger of EDAG’s competence segments under the newly conceptualized EDAG Group AG required further development of the corporate identity and a strategic realignment. Brand core, USP, and values were worked out in brand workshops used to develop a communication and corporate identity strategy, which places EDAG Group AG on the international market as a technology leader.

The corporate design with its claim, visual language, and tonality positions EDAG Group AG as a futuristic and visionary corporation where people are the focus. Because the development of tomorrow's mobility is always about human mobility.

FROM CONCEPT TO CREATION

Whereas analysis and strategy determined the brand architecture process in the first section, the next step was the graphic and textual design and creation of the EDAG Group brand. The central theme: the visual and content-related presentation of the consolidation of the business segments under the Group—starting with the definition of the color scheme and uniform wording, through to internal communication.

Because internal communication is one of the most important measures in the branding process when introducing a new corporate design, we developed a short video to introduce the most significant innovations in terms of corporate identity and design.

For visually coherent communication throughout, we conceived a design element that can be used in all EDAG Group motifs.

For the corporate colors, we rely on a consistently dynamic, finely tuned contrast between white and gray tones. The integration of the signal color red generates attention-grabbing impulses and underlines the emotional brand values of the EDAG Group.

Key visuals are the face that form a brand’s identity. The segments are brought together under a common EDAG Group denominator on a full-format display. A technical, elegant look serves as a stage for EDAG’s visionary thinking. Personified by the people in focus.
